On how to be a successful pirate and keep your crew inline

The objective of the project from the animation standpoint was to promote the platform in a fun, relatable way using 2D character animation as a medium. The project consist of a series of 3 videos with a duration of approximately 30 seconds each, featuring 3 unusual protagonists: a vampire, a pirate and an alien. The goal was to simplify complex features and engage potential users effectively.

One of the main challenges was to convey the product's features in a way that was both engaging and easy to understand. Another challenge was to develop the project in collaboration with a creative team that had at that point no experience in 2D animation.

Although my main role was animation we collaborated widely on several aspects of the project like storyboarding, animatic, design and preparation for the animation stage. The client had a comfortable timeline for delivery and that allowed us to finalise all 3 videos well within the agreed terms.

The client reported positive feedback from their audience, highlighting the clarity and engagement of the animation.

As part of a longer term collaboration with this agency, this projected helped us build a stronger communication and the exchange of valuable knowledge helped us better our skills.
