If we ask what is spirituality to anyone, everyone will have their own perspectives about the question, which is somewhat correct.
If we see the other definitions like in Cambridge University ‘spirituality is the quality that involves deep feelings and belief in religious nature rather than the physical part of life.
As per Collins University ‘Spirituality means relating to people’s thoughts and beliefs rather than to their bodies and physical surroundings.
Oxford University ‘Spirituality means relating to or affecting the human spirit or soul as opposed to material or physical things.
And our Wikipedia says ‘There is no single, widely agreed upon definition of spirituality.

These were the definitions by Google or by the universities. Apart from this a simple definition or sort of meaning which can be presumed is that spirituality is the belief beyond self. It can be the process of shedding our wrong concepts, thoughts, and ideas; becoming more conscious and aware of our inner being. It kind of solves rather than gives away too many questions like the meaning of life, universal truth, and even the mystery of human existence. Not only this also helps in self-improvement, and stress relief and even is even a source of comfort.
Does a question pop up in your mind, and that’s WHY SPIRITUALITY?
Eventually, it’s a nice one to discuss on. Spirituality helps to find the purpose or the meaning of something. It also helps to cope with the feelings like stress depression and anxiety. Coping with these feeling grant us hope and restore optimism. It even finds a sense of community and support and gives a clearer view of the path we are traveling or going to start.
Before moving further there is a major misunderstanding that religion and spirituality both are the same things. But it’s not the case. Spirituality is practiced individually whereas religion is practiced in a community. As it is said by William Blake ‘Enlightenment means taking full responsibility for your life’.
As we know, we follow some religious practices for ages. Few of them are known to us that why we exactly follow them and some are just followed blindly which we don’t know why are we doing, sad fact is that excluding a few no one is even concerned way we follow those. This was about religious practices, there are certain ways of spiritual practices. First, always start with yourself, pay attention to how you feel so you can tackle the worst situation or even any stress anxiety, etc. Then helping others with no expectations of returns is the most important. Should practice gratitude, it makes us humble and soft-spoken.
Doing this all will have a great impact in life. It provides better health, which leads to greater phycological well-being. All this leads to positive vibes which not only makes our mind calm. These positive vibes that surround us also benefit the people around us. With all this positivity in us leads to a depression-free and comforting and soothing atmosphere. People struggling with hypertension to calm themselves. All this gives a happy stress-free life. So let’s try to start with a spiritual journey.
