In the world of iOS and macOS development cert renewal is an unavoidable task. For a single or solo developer there's an option to allow Xcode to Automatically manage signing" However as the team expands it necessary to have a greater control over managing and maintaining devices and project access. An expired certificate can bring the development or testing process to a grinding halt.
For Fazhan the solution was to integrate fastlane match into our workflow.
Now expired certs can be renewed and provisioning profiles can be generated by running a single command from the macOS terminal.
