Nicolai Sørensen, a top Danish Wordpress website developer, reached out to craft a sleek, modern personal portfolio site built in Framer. He wanted a digital presence that reflected his premium skills, elevated personal brand, and clean visual identity.
I was tasked with designing and developing a site that would showcase his work and that of his colleague, personality and approach, while delivering flawless performance and a refined aesthetic.
The Challenges
Positioning the individual as a premium player
Although Nicolai has strong expertise, his previous site lacked a distinctive premium feel. The challenge: create an experience that reflects his high‑caliber craftsmanship without resorting to gimmicks.
Structure & clarity in presentation
The site needed to balance elegance with function, showcasing his work without overwhelming the visitor. It required thoughtful content architecture, clear case presentations, and intuitive navigation.
Performance and editability
Built in Framer, the site needed to load fast, perform flawlessly across devices, and allow easy updates (portfolio, blog, etc.) without complex hand‑coding or slow processes.
My Approach
Design & Strategy
Worked with Nicolai to define his unique value: “No buzzwords. Just results.”
Drew inspiration from minimalist portfolios but maintained structural rigor—every section, animation and interaction mapped back to purpose.
Created a consistent visual identity, deep blacks, clean whites, subtle orange highlights, to reflect sophistication, focus and warmth.
Component Architecture
Designed modular sections such as Hero → Stats → Showcase → About → Blog → Contact.
Developed clear “The situation → The solution” storytelling layout for case study pages.
Added subtle scroll animations and micro‑interactions in Framer to enhance feel without distraction.
Framer Development
Built fully responsive site in Framer from scratch; ensured performance was top‑tier (desktop & mobile).
Set up CMS collections for cases, blog posts pages, allowing Nicolai to update content autonomously.
Optimized animations, image loading and interactions to avoid lag or jank, preserving a premium experience.
