What is this API?

Overture Places API gives you access to 80+ million points of interest worldwide — restaurants, shops, hotels, hospitals, and more — through a simple REST interface. Data is sourced from Overture Maps Foundation, backed by Meta, Microsoft, Amazon, and TomTom.

Endpoint: GET /api/places/nearby Find places near a coordinate within a given radius. Parameters: lat — latitude (required) lon — longitude (required) radius — search radius in meters (default: 1000) category — filter by category (optional)

Data freshness: Updated monthly following Overture Maps releases.

Attribution: Data provided under CDLA Permissive 2.0. Powered by Overture Maps Foundation.
