About: The Green Barn Farm is a traditional, family-run farm, shop, and cafe nestled in the heart of North Benfleet, Essex. Owned and operated by the Lyons family, who have been tilling the same soil for generations, this farm is a proud testament to British agriculture, sustainability, community and farm-to-table living.
What I Do: As the lead editor and TikTok manager for The Green Barn Farm, my main aim was to capture and convey the essence of what makes this farm truly special: their passion for responsible farming, contributions within the local community and the fulfilling experiences that they provide for their visitors.
This goal was achieved through a range of video formats that catered to different aspects of the farm:
Interviews:
Interviews were among the first video formats implemented on the Green Barn Farm channel. Initially, they served as an ideal way to launch the account, providing a warm introduction of the Green Barn Farm family; offering viewers a personal glimpse into the lives of the individuals behind the farm, detailing their roles and contributions.
As the channel progressed, these interviews continue to play a crucial role in deepening the 'get-to-know us' aspect of the farms content. Delving into the backstories of the team, their favourite aspects of the job, the challenges they encounter, and any other thoughts, this series enriched the personality of the farm's online presence while strengthening the connection between farm and audience.

Piece to Camera videos are the bread and butter of the Green Barn Farm account. In these segments, team members directly address the audience, sharing timely updates, interesting information and engaging stories about the farm, shop and cafe.
