Overview
The platform is a skill-based trading system that supports both stocks and crypto. Traders can manage up to 10 accounts under one profile and participate in a funded trading program by completing structured challenges.

The revamp boosted user retention, increased trade volume , and improved funding success rate
Context
The client tested the platform with a small group of users. Results showed low retention and unclear paths to funding. They reached out to revamp the experience by:

Guiding Principles
We defined design principles to shape the product:
Progressive Disclosure : Guide traders step by step through challenges without overwhelming them.
Cognitive Load Theory : Focus each screen on core metrics, reduce clutter.
Nudge Theory : Use subtle cues (performance insights, progress markers) to encourage consistency.
Jakob’s Law : Keep familiar trading layouts while improving clarity and flow.

Challenge account
While The first iteration serves its purpose . It requires additional effort from the user to check their progress. So card is updated to make the user experience better.

View Details
View Details provides users to know additional info to keep track of their progress and account information . Before it was a card layout that pops up to show account info and trading view info which was not efficient . I then revamped to have a side panel that has all the detail at once .

First Iteration is done with minimalistic approach but it lacks features and customizations for expert traders.
I then redesigned the panel which is familiar to the user that has more customization options to execute their trade.

While the first iteration does serve the purpose of knowing the asset value it doesn't provide ability to trade from the chart itself which is one of the important feature every trader expect in a platform.

The Markets page provides a clean overview of tradable assets across stocks and crypto, with real-time price updates and percentage changes. By grouping assets in a familiar list view with clear buy/sell indicators, it reduces friction and helps traders quickly spot opportunities.

Trade execution screen + charts with contextual indicators and tooltips for parameters (stop-loss, take-profit)

Reflection
What I Learned
Small guidance / overlay can make big difference in reducing anxiety.
Gamification must support progress too many badges can dilute value.
Always test clarity of language what makes sense to designer / domain expert may confuse new users.
