ProjectsWatches | Shopify E-commerce Revamp

Summary

Projects Watches is an online retailer specializing in selling unique and unusual watches designed by architects.

They are my one of the oldest clients who I worked with for around 10 years. Our journey began with a conversion of old static HTML pages into dynamic Wordpress based site, to display products but without online store part. Then later online store powered by Woocommerce was added. Many features were added along the years including bu not limited to Wholesale sales for select vendor/dealers. And the final project iteration was to switch rapidly growing online business to Shopify platform. Below are details of this project.

Tasks performed

New pages design and migration from WooCommerce to Shopify platform. Client requested to migrate complete website from Wordpress/WooCommerce to Shopify. This included all current functionality plus new features; and product, orders, and user migration.

In Shopify the selected design theme was customized and reworked to accommodate provided requirements for each page, especially for single product page and collection pages.

Custom headers were designed an implemented for each collection page to show associated Designer/brand being used.

New feature: easy search, navigation and filtering of the compatible bands for each watch.

New feature: custom single Checkout page to contain special Cross Sell and Upsell products and autocompletion address search.
