MyNetwork App - mutually beneficial networking

Alysia Tay

The MyNetwork App is designed to connect university students directly to industry professionals and employers, keeping the value of mutually beneficial networking in mind.
The app differs to LinkedIn, online job boards and other social media as it’s solely based on building genuine connections with others within the industry. Students can ask questions regarding assessments, job prospects and internship opportunities to organisations. If professionals answer questions accurately, they can increase their profile rating, therefore promoting their business and securing legitimacy - where more graduates would want to work for a company or individual with higher job satisfaction and good rapport. Students can also explore available job postings in their area, easily upload their resume/portfolios/GPA and directly chat with employers.
I wanted the app to have a youthful look, so I selected playful colours and replicated aspects of other social media interfaces for a sense of familiarity and ease of use. The main brand pattern - circles, squares and triangle shapes - represents the diverse range of professionals you would interact with.
