Challenge
Julien reached out to me on Fiverr after his Shopify store products were all disapproved on Google Merchant Center due to policy violations and misrepresentation.
His Merchant account had been blocked for weeks, making it impossible to run Shopping Ads or gain product visibility.
When I reviewed his store, I found:
Missing legal & trust pages (Privacy, Refund, Terms, Shipping).
Product data inconsistencies between Shopify and Merchant Center.
Lack of clear contact and business information, triggering Google’s “misrepresentation” policy.
He needed a fast, professional fix to get back online without risking another suspension.
Process
I handled the recovery in four key phases:
Audit & Diagnosis
Reviewed Google Merchant “Diagnostics” tab to identify exact reasons for disapproval.
Inspected Shopify’s backend for missing compliance elements and policy pages.
Compliance Setup
Created & optimized Privacy Policy, Terms, Refund, and Shipping pages using Shopify’s structure.
Added transparent contact details, physical address, and business identity to build trust signals.
Feed Optimization
Corrected product titles, descriptions, prices, and shipping data in the product feed.
Removed misleading or unverifiable claims from listings.
Ensured full consistency between feed data and Shopify landing pages.
Google Appeal & Review
Submitted a professional appeal explaining all updates and compliance fixes.
Monitored Merchant Center daily until reinstatement was confirmed.
Outcome
✅ All products approved and policy violations lifted.
✅ Boutique-Parka’s Merchant account reinstated within 9 days.
✅ Store became fully compliant with Google Ads and Merchant policies.
✅ Julien regained visibility across Google Shopping & Search Ads and could restart his campaigns immediately.
