CM Resources LLC: Website Design for an EdTech Curriculum Consultancy

Short version (for the Contra project description field)
CM Resources is an EdTech curriculum consulting and instructional design firm led by a 20 year classroom veteran. The site had to sell to two buyers at once: EdTech product teams who care about adoption and timelines, and school leaders who care about classroom credibility. I designed a single scrolling page that puts the founder's teaching record at the center and structures the rest around proof, process, and one clear next step.

The brief

Cristen Magaletti spent 20 years teaching K-12 in New York City public schools and independent schools in South Florida. She now consults with EdTech companies and academic institutions on curriculum design, UDL alignment, AI integration, and professional development.
Her problem was positioning. Two buyers land on the same page and read it for different reasons. An EdTech product lead scans for someone who understands ship dates, adoption targets, and go to market pressure. A school or district leader scans for someone who has run a classroom and knows what teachers will actually use. Write for one and you lose the other.
She also carries credentials that most consultants would pay for: Adobe Education Master Teacher, Adobe MAX speaker, Florida K-12 AI Task Force member, Educator of the Year finalist at Palm Beach Illustrated. Sites like this usually bury that on an About page that gets almost no traffic.

What I designed

One page, eight moves, one conversion path.
Hero. A navy to sky gradient with the positioning line split across two colors. White carries the claim, yellow carries the payoff: "Unlock Every Learner's Potential." Under it sit four pillars, UDL, K-12, AI, and PD, so a visitor reads the whole service range before scrolling once.
Credibility strip. Logos of the institutions and publications she has worked with, placed above the services section. The proof arrives before the pitch.
Services. A three card carousel covering curriculum design, AI integration, and instructional content. Each card carries a short outcome line and a "Let's Talk" link, so a buyer can convert from the service that matched instead of scrolling back to the top.
Approach. I dropped a full black section into the middle of the page and set an oversized ghost wordmark behind the headline. It breaks the blue, slows the scroll, and gives the philosophy statement its own room. On the right, a numbered accordion states four beliefs in plain language, with the CTA sitting at the bottom in yellow.
Process. Four cards covering discovery, design, delivery, and ongoing partnership. The active card fills with blue so the eye has somewhere to land. This section answers the question EdTech clients ask in the first call: what does working with you look like week to week.
Testimonials. A peeking carousel with role level attribution, VP of Product at a K-12 learning platform, plus a star rating. Partial cards on both edges tell the user there is more to swipe.
Founder. The section that does the heaviest lifting. Portrait against brick, a pull quote set in a blue card, then a numbered credential row running 1 through 5 across the width. The credentials read as a scoreboard instead of a paragraph.
Close. A single blue CTA card, then a footer with a newsletter capture and the wordmark set large in ghost type.

Design decisions

Color. Electric blue runs the brand. Lime yellow appears in two places only, on buttons and on one headline clause, so every yellow element on the page is either an action or the thing the client sells. Black anchors the middle third.
Typography. Geometric sans with tight tracking on the display sizes. Several headlines run two tone, where the second clause drops to grey. That builds hierarchy inside a single sentence and lets a scanner read the emphasis without reading the line.
Layout. Cards throughout, with rounded corners and wide internal padding. Carousels peek at the next card rather than sitting flush, which removes the need for scroll instructions.
Photography. One portrait, warm brick background, arms crossed. It is the only warm surface on a cool page, and it lands in the section where trust matters most.
