Overview

AWS Identity Manager is a web-based platform designed to streamline the management of AWS accounts within an organization. The platform provides two roles: Admin and User, each with distinct permissions and functionalities to ensure efficient account management.

Key Features

Role-Based Access Control: Supports two primary roles:

Admin: Manages permissions and oversees account activities.

User: Requests specific permissions and manages their assigned resources.

Account Management: Simplifies the management of AWS accounts, making it easier to oversee and control access across the organization.

Freezing Feature: Admins can set specific permission sets to all accounts for a designated period automatically. This feature ensures that all accounts adhere to the organization's security policies during critical times.

Request Permission Set: Users can easily request the permissions they need. Admins can then review and grant these permissions, streamlining the process and enhancing productivity.

Objective

The objective of AWS Identity Manager is to provide a comprehensive solution for managing AWS accounts within an organization. By automating key processes and providing an intuitive interface, the platform aims to enhance security, improve efficiency, and reduce administrative overhead.
