Chapter 1: Absence of Centralized Student Services
As the enrollment numbers at the University of Mindanao continue to climb, a range of persistent issues has arisen. One of the primary concerns revolves around the lack of centralization in providing crucial services required for students' daily education. This absence of centralization has given rise to prolonged waiting periods for students striving to complete the enrollment process. Additionally, the limited availability and implementation of online services, including online payment methods, further compound the problem. Consequently, students frequently find themselves in frustrating predicaments, experiencing feelings of panic as they contend with the scarcity of available course slots. Such circumstances compel them to adapt to impractical schedules, leading to a disruption of their overall life balance.
Chapter 2: Connecting the Campus Dots
Within the university, there exists a pre-existing system; however, several issues render it largely unreliable, leading students to resort to physical transactions. Despite some improvements over time, the implementation of a much-needed online platform in this digital age is not only essential but imperative. Currently, three crucial services within the university system are scattered and fragmented. These services include the online enrollment process, the availability of a streamlined online service, and the necessity for regular updates on the status of students' applications.
The objective of this project is to centralize these processes in an intuitive manner, embodying the concept of "an app for all university needs." To initiate this endeavor, a comprehensive study was conducted to identify the essential features required for its successful implementation. The study revealed common solutions, including the need for a user-friendly system that aligns with the familiarity of the pre-existing university system. Additionally, it highlighted the importance of providing quick and easy access to services with just a single tap of a button. Lastly, the study emphasized the significance of providing regular updates on student transactions, even when they are miles away from the university.
The ultimate goal is to create a cohesive and user-friendly platform that addresses these identified needs, ensuring a streamlined and efficient experience for all university-related transactions.
Chapter 3: The Outcome
The success of this project proposal has paved the way for its imminent implementation within our university. The introduction of this centralized system in the near future is a direct result of the proposal's effectiveness and impact. Additionally, the proposal gained substantial viewership on popular platforms like TikTok and YouTube, where it received acclaim for its well-presented animation and the clear demonstration of the design's implementation. The positive reception and widespread attention further validate the proposal's merits and indicate a strong endorsement for its execution.
Chapter 4: Thoughts!
Notably, while this project proposal was initially developed with a specific scope for our university, its underlying principles hold the potential for broader application across various industries and businesses. The success of the proposal, coupled with its wide-reaching impact, highlights the significant value that a simple yet effective animation can bring. It not only sheds light on existing challenges but also offers viable solutions. By leveraging the power of animation, complex problems can be presented in a visually engaging and accessible manner, making them easier to comprehend and address. This recognition of the animation's efficacy emphasizes its potential as a valuable tool for problem-solving and innovation in diverse contexts beyond the confines of our university project.
