NSI Branding + Identity

Overview 🔎

NSI is the preferred outsourcing solutions provider to Fortune 500 companies, disruptive technology startups, and other businesses seeking to turn their engineering visions into reality. When NSI’s global technical manufacturing and engineering services needed a creative facelift, I stepped up to deliver something unique and striking in a usually sterile industry.
The new logomark is an abstracted symbol created from the scientific symbols for both gas and water, which are key markers in their flagship product line of ampoules and bubblers.

Problem & Solution 🤝

NSI's existing logo was made by a company employee in Microsoft Word. Needless to say, the bar was low. I was tasked with rebranding both the company's digital identity as well as implementing signage and environmental graphics at their facility.
One of the main challenges was the website being designed more to show up their competitors without giving away any trade secrets abut their facility, products, or process.

Results 🎁

Thanks to the client's willingness to change and be bold and unique, NSI's rebrand was a complete success. It eventually led to the company being noticed and acquired by a larger entity in an adjacent field a few years later.

Takeaways 📣

One of the greatest parts about what I do is getting to learn about so many different industries in order to inform the creative process. The knowledge and experience I gained from this project actually landed me an unintentional job offer at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Washington, DC.
