Junto – The Ownership Economy Protocol

Scope: Brand Identity & Visual System Design

The Challenge

The Creator Economy is broken. Traditional platforms operate on an extractive model, capturing 90% of the value while creators are left dependent on opaque algorithms and renting their audiences. I envisioned a brand identity for a new decentralized protocol that flips this model. The goal: create a visual system that feels rebellious yet premium—shifting the narrative from "platform" to "protocol" and from "followers" to "owners." The brand needed to signal trust to investors while feeling distinctly "anti-establishment" to creators.

The Concept: The Golden Hour

The core visual metaphor is "The Golden Hour"—that fleeting moment of perfect light before darkness. The Darkness: Represents the "Black Box" of traditional Web2 platforms (The Void). The Light: Represents the 95% revenue and clarity Junto brings to creators. We moved away from the friendly, corporate blues of Silicon Valley. Instead, we embraced a "Dark Mode First" aesthetic—utilizing Jet Black backgrounds illuminated by Mustard Gold and Soft Yellow accents. It’s a "Cyber-Noir" look that feels like a high-fidelity digital tool rather than a toy.

The Visual System

To ensure scalability across product and marketing, I developed a modular design language based on Blockchain Tactility.
The Grid: A strict modular card system (4x5 and 16x9) representing blocks on a chain. This structure allows for infinite scalability of content while maintaining order.
Glassmorphism: Frosted amber glass overlays simulate the "transparency" of the blockchain—tangible but digital.
Typography: We paired a bold, tight-tracking Sans-Serif for headlines (the "Shout") with a technical Monospace font for data (the "Proof").
The Redaction: A graphic device used to strike through old Web2 terms (e.g., Platformto Protocol), visually reinforcing the disruption of the status quo.

Brand Voice & Messaging

The copy is direct, urgent, and uncensored. We stripped away marketing fluff in favor of hard truths.
Headline: "The 90/10 Split is Dead."
Tagline: "Own Your Audience. Own Your Future."
Call to Action: "Join the Protocol."
