Project Overview
As a naval architect and marine engineer, I contributed to the design and production of Kraken Yachts' 50-foot and 58-foot blue water sailing yachts in Bodrum, Turkey. These vessels are engineered to exceed ISO CE RCD Category 'A' standards, representing the pinnacle of ocean-going sailboat design and construction.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborated on the design and implementation of the innovative ZERO™ Keel system, a fully integral keel that eliminates the risk of keel loss due to impact or grounding.
Engineered the ALPHA™ Rudder System, featuring a full-length skeg-hung rudder with in-water removable bearings, enhancing steering safety and reliability.
Developed and optimized the hull construction process, utilizing 17-22 layers of composite engineered fabrics bonded with vinyl-ester resins, achieving a minimum thickness of 15mm.
Integrated Aramid fiber composites (Kevlar) in critical impact areas to enhance structural integrity.
Designed multiple watertight sealed bulkheads to improve safety and compartmentalization.
Specified and integrated ultra-high impact-resistant laminated glass for all windows and port lights to prevent water ingress in extreme conditions.

Technical Achievements

Engineered hull designs capable of withstanding extreme ocean conditions while maintaining optimal performance characteristics.
Implemented advanced composite materials and construction techniques to achieve an ideal balance of strength, weight, and durability.
Developed innovative safety features that set new standards in blue water yacht design, including the ZERO™ Keel and ALPHA™ Rudder System.
Optimized yacht layouts to maximize livability and functionality for long-distance cruising.
