The San Francisco-based record label, EMPIRE, is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a new series called Rhythm and Roots. This series features three LatinX artists, Jay Wheeler, Sabrina Claudio, and Danny Towers, as they explore how their Hispanic culture has shaped their music and how they blend cultural traditions with modern music styles.
The series kicks off with a three-time Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter, Jay Wheeler, known for his smooth vocals and heartfelt lyrics. His episode features reflections of his life in Puerto Rico and an intimate live performance from his Miami residence.
According to a press release from EMPIRE, Sabrina Claudio follows on October 7th. The Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter is celebrated for her ethereal vocals and vulnerable lyricism. In her episode, Claudio reflects on her Miami upbringing, the influence of her Latina heritage on her artistry, and offers fans a glimpse into an exclusive yacht shoot.
The series concludes on October 14th with Danny Towers, a rising star in Latin trap and hip-hop. In his episode, Towers presents the first Latin project from Sinners Club, celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. He also reflects on his artistic journey, inspiration, and the cultural influences that shape his sound.
