When it comes to job ads for career websites, there's a whole art-meets-science situation. You need to make them enticing for people - even they're tired and rolling their eyes out of their heads, after they've sifted through 20 other job ads and are close to giving up on ever looking for meaning again in their lives. And what about the people that are very much content with their current company and are only maybe, under the right circumstances, open to the idea of a new job? The same job description has to make them tick too.
Overall, people spend around 30 seconds on a job page, and then they close it. Off to surf the Internet, to catch another wave and leave you behind. I'm proud to say that I've even posted job pages that, on average, managed to keep people engaged for 5 minutes straight. That's 10 times the average! That's like them actually talking to the screen: "Huh, interesting. Tell me more, please". 10 times.
