Anthony White
As the lead instructional designer for this project, I created a full-scale, interactive training course for the Arctic Slope Native Association’s Childcare and Development Fund program. This project involved end-to-end course development, from initial planning to final implementation in Blackboard Ultra.
Key Contributions:
Course Design and Development: Designed the entire course structure from the ground up, creating a cohesive learning experience across multiple modules, including topics such as Emergency Preparedness, Infectious Disease Control, Child Development, and Pediatric First Aid.
Instructional Content Creation: Developed engaging and effective instructional materials, including lesson content, knowledge checks, assessments, and practical activities, ensuring alignment with adult learning principles and best practices.
Multimedia Integration: Managed all aspects of graphic design and multimedia, including custom visuals, SCORM packages, and video elements, enhancing the course’s visual appeal and learner engagement.
Interactive Learning Elements: Designed and implemented interactive elements such as discussion forums, journal activities, quizzes, and real-world scenario-based tasks to encourage active learning and community participation.
Platform Expertise: Utilized Blackboard Ultra’s features effectively to create a user-friendly, intuitive course layout, incorporating navigation aids, progress tracking, and clear completion requirements for a seamless learning experience.
Assessment and Evaluation: Designed comprehensive formative and summative assessments, including module tests and practical assignments, to ensure robust knowledge evaluation and skill development.
This project highlights my ability to build complex, interactive online courses, manage content design, and leverage learning technologies effectively, delivering a comprehensive educational experience tailored to the needs of adult learners in professional development settings.
