In this Project case study, we will talk about the challenges faced by the Institute Pasteur team; in the collection of Lab bio data of patients with the use of Bio data form during blood sample collections in the laboratory and how we aimed to digitize the process into a simple, short, gamified data in-put process that is user friendly.

The Institute Pasteur team/stakeholders were looking to digitise the process of bio-data collection of patients who came for testing in the laboratories in Dakar Senegal. This was important due to the number of Patients received daily during the Pandemic.

Digitising the Bio data form sample found below and other data forms available at the laboratory for different specimens.

Better Data representation of collected data using Line graphs, Pie charts and other easy-to-use data representation formats respectively.

The human-Centered Design process was applied at this stage

Definition - Human-centered design is an approach to problem-solving commonly used

in process, product, service and system design, management, and engineering frameworks

that develops solutions to problems by involving the human perspective and emotion in all

steps of the problem-solving process.

Discovering - Remote sessions where carried out with stakeholders, Doctors AND Laboratory Scientist Institute Pasteur Dakar, Senegal; as well as my team to better understand their needs and concerns.

Sketching - Every member of my team took Quality time out to sketch thier ideas from the problem to be solved. Those ideas were also presented by each team member at the ideation workshops.
