Disney Go The Distance: Parody Song Creation

The message for this song was all about family and the strong relationship between father and son after a time of separation, to bring the emotion to the forefront with the clear strong message being felt. 

To create this project for my client my process was:

STEP 1: Being very familiar with this song - Go The Distance from Hercules (Disney), I went through the words and made sure that I was familiar with the ebb and flow of these new words, making sure that I wouldn't stumble.

STEP 2: I then read through the words and made annotations to ensure certain words and phrases were emphasised where necessary and the right amount of emotion was being created through the song.

Step 3: After discussing with the client how the video was being created and the vision they had for it I had a few extra idea's that would add to the creation with regards to how they could excel the video.

Step 4: When I begin recording I do start to have a back and forth with the client to ensure I am on the right track and it is how they imagined it to be, and allow us to develop any area's that I may have needed more clarification with.

Step 5: I provided a few different versions to allow the client to decide if they liked any of my creative input as I find that I can get carried away with a song and allow my voice to roam freely as it were, which can provide different and sometimes more intriguing results. I always provide the version that they had written and then if I feel a few different versions are also there then I include them in my delivery too.

Note: I allow for any revisions that may be required and always allow for as many as is required to bring this song to a great finished product.

A very happy client with a project they were extremely happy with and I have enjoyed a few more Parody Disney songs.
