Innovative Seamless Denim athleisure jacket

PATRICK SILVA SZATKOWSKI

Problem
The fashion industry is constantly evolving, and customers are always looking for something new and innovative. The challenge was to create a unique product that combined the traditional denim fabric with sportswear's athleisure performance features.
The team faced several challenges in creating this product. They needed to find a way to seamlessly knit multiple layers of different yarns together to create a reversible quilted jacket. Additionally, they had to ensure that the quilting effect was consistent throughout the fabric, without any visible seams or stitches.
Solution
The team came up with an innovative solution by using a seamless knitting machine and combining new fibers. They created a multi-layered seamless knitted panel consisting of three layers of different yarns with reverse use. Specific stitches were used on the machine to hold the two layers of fabric together, producing a thickness in the fabric that created a quilting effect.
To enhance the texture of the fabric, extra decorative patterns were added to its surface, creating unlimited 3D technical effects and design. Separate reinforced points were also inserted into it. Each side of the panel could be used as the front layer, allowing for either an active or smart-classical denim jean look.
