What the Brand is About The client was a creative professional showcasing their work through a visually rich Framer portfolio. The brand prioritized bold imagery, detailed case studies, and fluid transitions to leave a strong impression on potential collaborators and clients.

Aim of the Website The goal was to present their creative portfolio with high visual fidelity while maintaining modern performance standards. The site needed to feel premium, smooth, and load efficiently across all devices especially for first-time visitors and prospective clients.

Problem Faced During Development The original Framer site scored 35% on Google PageSpeed Insights, primarily due to heavy media assets, multiple large components, and unoptimized animations. However, the client requested that absolutely no visual changes be made, which directly conflicted with the core performance issues, most of which were visual and structural.

Solutions Used I approached this challenge strategically:

Audited all assets and layout structures to identify bottlenecks.

Compressed oversized images and replaced them with optimized formats (WebP).

Reduced redundant components and lazy-loaded sections not immediately visible.

Refactored complex layers and removed unused interactions.

Maintained pixel-perfect fidelity to the Figma design despite constraints.

Outcome After restructuring and optimizing, I successfully increased the site’s performance from 35% to 91% on PageSpeed Insights. While the contract was cancelled due to conflicting expectations (visual change vs. performance gain), the technical optimization was completed, and the project became a solid demonstration of my ability to balance performance and design in Framer.
