Island x Ramotion — Building the Brand for a New Category of Enterprise Software
Island created the first-ever Enterprise Browser—purpose-built for the modern workplace, with security, governance, and productivity features baked in. But as a category-defining product, Island needed more than a clean interface. It needed a brand that could explain a new concept, build immediate trust with enterprise buyers, and scale with the business.
We partnered closely with Island’s founding team to shape a brand that felt both innovative and grounded. Drawing inspiration from a Zen garden, the identity positioned the browser as a calm, designable space—something you control, something that protects you, and something that disappears into your workflow. The metaphor carried through every detail: from a clean, confident visual system to messaging that turned technical depth into business clarity.
The results were tangible. The new brand played a pivotal role in accelerating adoption across Fortune 500s, simplifying enterprise sales conversations, and building lasting market presence. Within two years, Island secured $250M in Series E funding, reached a $4.8B valuation, and landed on the Forbes Cloud 100 and Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies list.
