The AI🤖 That Wanted a Day Off: AI Animated Short

Meet Byte: an overworked little AI assistant who decides he's finally had enough.

This 30-second animated short was created as a multi-scene storytelling experiment using Google Flow and Veo.

Across three 10-second scenes, Byte goes from an overwhelming futuristic workspace to escaping through the city on a hoverboard and finally relaxing at the beach until his computer follows him there with “one tiny video.”

I developed the concept, story structure, character direction, generative prompts, camera direction, dialogue, continuity and final edit.

The project explores one of the challenges I find most interesting in generative video: turning independently generated clips into a recognizable character journey and coherent story.
