For the Config Makeathon, I built a visual experimentation lab called GlyphLab for myself & other designers.
Built entirely with Figma Make for the @contra x @figma Config Makeathon.
Creating unique visuals is one of those things that should feel playful, but often turns into jumping between tools, tweaking endless settings, and repeating the same workflow over and over.
So I built something for myself.
Glyph lets you transform any image into something completely new using a collection of visual effects inspired by design, print, and digital media.
Upload an image, experiment with effects like Halftone, CRT, Dither, and more, stack them together, then export the result or save your setup as a reusable Look.
The part I love most: every Look can be published to a shared gallery, creating a growing library of visual recipes that anyone can explore, remix, and build on.
A few things Glyph can do:
• Apply and stack 10+ visual effects • Save effects as reusable Looks • Explore Looks created by other creatives • Compare original and edited images side-by-side • Customize the experience with multiple UI themes
The workflow is intentionally simple:
Upload an image → Experiment → Save or Export
The entire experience is wrapped in a custom terminal-inspired interface designed to feel more like a creative lab than an editing tool.
Built using Figma Make, Figma Design, MCP, and Supabase.
