Product Description

A digital health product designed to support the mental well-being of parents, offering a comprehensive approach to managing the unique challenges of parenthood. Focusing on parental mental health, the app combines self-guided Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and meditation to help parents navigate stress, anxiety, and other emotional hurdles.

To gain insights into the market and identify opportunities, I conducted a competitor analysis. I evaluated existing self-guided apps from both a user experience and product perspective to understand their strengths and weaknesses.

This analysis revealed that many existing products aren't well-suited for parents, as they fail to accommodate their busy schedules. These findings informed our approach, allowing us to design a mental health app that simplifies the journey and offers a better user experience tailored specifically for parents.

Wireframes served as an effective communication tool for detailing features based on business requirements. Opting for mid-fidelity allowed me to quickly iterate while providing a detailed understanding of the journey to the stakeholders.

During the initial design review, I presented various main navigation options and recommended the best one based on industry best practices.

After reviewing the options and selecting the preferred direction, I developed a complete user journey for all the app's features. To ensure an optimal user experience, I created a prototype and conducted usability testing with users across three different scenarios to try and understand:

How well they understand the app’s purpose, features, and layout, as well as how intuitively they can navigate the app

The ease with which a new subscriber can navigate the app’s content library and locate information that suits their specific needs without relying on suggested content

How well users can navigate personal account features, understand and access valuable tools like the journal, and locate essential settings.

The feedback from these tests was instrumental in refining the wireframes and enhancing the overall user experience. I compiled all insights into a presentation and shared it with the stakeholders, highlighting suggested improvements for the user journey and overall experience.

The full user journey was presented to the stakeholder through a prototype and the final delivery was a Figma file with all screens annotated which explains not only the journey but logic in every screen.
