SMARTSQUAT is a squat game designed for people of all genders and ages. The device is equipped with a camera that tracks your movements in real-time.
As you squat up and down, the character (a doctor) in the game will mimic your movements, and your goal is to control the character to avoid the obstacles as long as possible to achieve the highest score.

This project originated from ideas such as: exercising can often become boring, or sometimes people want to increase their motivation during workouts, and also the need for feedback on incorrect movements. From these insights, Gagi Corp was born.
Regarding the design, I developed a user-friendly interface that embraces the concept of a serious game—combining entertainment with meaningful engagement. The main character is a doctor who must navigate through a series of bacterial columns, symbolizing the challenges of maintaining health.
The gameplay mechanics encourage players to physically participate by using their own bodies. Specifically, players perform exercises such as squats, which are monitored and tracked by the system in real-time. The motion tracking technology analyzes the accuracy and quality of each movement, and the in-game character’s progress directly corresponds to the player’s performance. This immersive interaction not only makes exercising more engaging but also provides immediate feedback, helping players correct any improper form or technique during their workout.
By blending physical activity with interactive gameplay, this design aims to transform exercise from a mundane task into a motivating and rewarding experience.
