Modeling Young Canadian Voter Preferences
Academic project · University of Toronto · 2025
This academic project modeled party preferences among Canadians aged 25–34. I led data harmonization and logistic regression modeling using 2021 CES and Census data, with post-stratification applied to estimate party support within this age group.
The analysis examined support for the NDP, Liberal and Conservative parties. The project reported predicted support of 39.1%, 30.6% and 30.3%, respectively. These values are model predictions within the academic project, not observed election results.
My contribution focused on harmonizing the data and developing the regression model with post-stratification. The project demonstrates survey data preparation and statistical modeling.
The cover is a newly prepared method overview, not an original report figure. This is an academic project, with no commercial client or campaign engagement claimed.
