Will the Lakers make noise in the playoffs? The Lakers were one of the most talked-about organizations this off-season with the signing of Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony. The Lakers are currently the oldest team in the league right now. The question this offseason with the Lakers was if they could co-exist with each other? This season has been plagued with covid-19 protocol and injuries that led to players not competing with other teams.
The Lakers are sitting at 6th in the west, with the western conference getting better. The team is on a 3-game win streak after the new year, but they are beating teams that are not in playoff contention, so the question is, will the Lakers make noise in the playoffs? With LeBron James playing center with Anthony Davis out due to injury, the Lakers have found some answers.
Will the Lakers make any noise when the team gets healthy in the playoffs? Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook are essential keys to the Lakers’ success, as we know that LeBron will bring it every night. Anthony Davis has to be more aggressive and assertive when he gets back from injury. We know the Lakers can score, but can they play defense efficiently in the playoffs as a
team with many veterans? Can Russell Westbrook play more efficiently by cutting down the turnovers so that his triple-doubles mean much more?
Russell Westbrook averages the most career turnovers per game in NBA history, sitting at 4.1 turnovers. People just looked at his triple-doubles for a long time and thought he was a great point guard.
Playing for the Lakers seems to expose people that we say are stars. Malik Monk is becoming a fan favorite for the Lakers; he has always had the talent but was in the wrong scenery. If the Lakers become healthy because of the veterans, they will be fine in the playoffs and a title contender.
