I had the privilege of designing a coffee table book for my client, Giorgio, the first person to circumnavigate the globe on a wooden bicycle. Throughout his remarkable journey, Giorgio kept a detailed journal and captured stunning photographs, each telling a story of adventure and endurance. My goal was to let those visuals take center stage. I created a clean, simple design with a restrained color palette, allowing the photography to shine. To immerse readers in his experience, I included travel metrics on every page (the coordinates of his current location, the total distance traveled and miles from his home) so readers can trace his progress as the narrative unfolded. Strategic pops of bold red added energy and personality, making the book not only a chronicle of an extraordinary expedition but also a visually captivating keepsake.
