Spoke & Span — Mobile Bike Repair Booking App

A working booking app built with Lovable for a fictional mobile bike repair business in southeast Portland. Created for the Lovable challenge.

Maya Chen runs the business alone. Every availability question, confirmation, and schedule change interrupts a repair. The goal was to let customers get from “can I book?” to a confirmed appointment without waiting for Maya to reply.

The app accounts for Tuesday–Saturday hours, a lunch break, travel time between jobs, three repair types with different durations, and four service-area ZIP codes. Saturday bookings include acknowledgement of the cancellation policy.

Choose a repair, pick an available time, enter contact and service-address details, then confirm. The app checks availability before saving the booking. The confirmation includes a reference, a private management link, and an option to add the appointment to a calendar.

Customers use their private link to reschedule or cancel. The owner can review bookings from a protected dashboard.

I shaped the business brief, directed the interface and copy, built the experience with Lovable, tested the booking and management flows, and prepared the demo. Lovable and Supabase power the app.

A complete, persistent booking flow with availability rules and customer self-service. The owner no longer needs to manually confirm every booking or handle every schedule change in the demo scenario. This is a concept project, so there are no real-client revenue or time-saving measurements.

Confirmation is shown in the app. Automated email, SMS, and reminder delivery are outside the current build.
