FLUX — Why Is Hardware Taking So Long to Adopt AI?

The Objective

The goal was to turn a long-form conversation with a hardware expert into a concise, high-retention short-form video.
The challenge was to communicate a nuanced technical idea in approximately 30 seconds without oversimplifying the engineering perspective or making the content feel like a conventional, over-edited social media reel.

The Execution Strategy

Editorial Storytelling & Pacing
Extracted the strongest moments from a longer interview and structured them into a clear narrative: the contrast between: -small hardware startups -established engineering professionals,
Kinetic Typography & Motion Design
Used dynamic typography, animated text, and purposeful visual transitions to reinforce key ideas. Experimented with the animations and typography.
Animation Breakdown
Technical Visual Language and Audio pacing/enhancing
Integrated hardware-inspired visuals and technical design elements to connect the interview's ideas to the world of electrical engineering. Fast-paced, precise and clean cuts between scenes, enhanced audio and leveled perfectly!

Design System & Brand Identity

Typography: High-impact headlines paired with technical captions to establish a clear visual hierarchy and improve readability on mobile screens.
Color Theory: Flux Green (#1DFDC0), dark neutrals, and white typography to maintain brand consistency and contrast.
Motion Direction: Fast, experimental while aligning with company's brand guidelines

The Outcome

A polished, approximately 30-second vertical video that condenses a longer expert discussion into an accessible narrative about AI adoption in hardware engineering.
The project demonstrates how editorial judgment, motion design, and technical storytelling can work together to make complex conversations - engaging!
