Meet Wings of Hope for Africa 👋

Wings of Hope for Africa is a non-profit organization in Alberta, Canada. They help communities in Africa (Burundi and Rwanda) and Calgary. This includes ensuring that kids have the necessary means to go back to school, families receive food and health care, and communities find new ways to generate income and live a life out of poverty. 🌎

My Role

• I worked closely with the nonprofit's founder to develop and plan content.
• Implemented and managed content calendar using free tool.
• Analyzed performance to develop new strategies.
• Create and post all assets and reels
• Copywriting and hashtag strategy.
• Edit videos and designed visually appealing graphics ensuring brand consistency

Goal

🚀 The goal was to organically increase the account's reach on Facebook and Instagram within 3 months.

🎨 To improve consistency, I created templates that ensured visual coherence across all social media platforms. This was necessary because multiple volunteers had managed the feeds over the years, resulting in inconsistent branding.

Results

By helping to manage their platforms, create content, and design, the non-profit founder freed up her time. This allowed her to focus on new projects, while still growing the organization's social media presence.

In two months we achieved:

• Instagram reach increased by 140%
• Facebook reach increased by 134.1% over the course of three months.
• Additionally, we saw an increase in visits by 9.6% on Facebook and 12.8% on Instagram.
