Possets Landing Page Copy

LANDING PAGE COPY
Header: I’d stick this right under the Possets logo, before the featured products section. I wanted to make sure this was short and punchy, both intriguing visitors and communicating something about Possets mission/USP.
A renaissance of scent
This is the idea I like better, although admittedly, it might be a bit vague for first time visitors. I think using the word “renaissance” both links well with art as a principle and invokes a spirit of exploration, growth, and curiosity, which I felt were the defining tenets of the Possets’ mission based on our conversations and the About section of the website. Using “scent” instead of “perfume” also helps with this, given the direct sensory link.
Handcrafted fragrance born from art
The straightforward version. Not particularly exciting but definitely gets the point across. I decided to use “fragrance” instead of “perfume” in this section because I think it carries a more romantic connotation. I used the word “born” for the same reasons I used “renaissance” above
Subheader: this would go right underneath the Header to provide some context, probably in a smaller font.
Blending art inspired fragrance since 1992
This subheader would accompany the first header. I like the word “blended” as a way of evoking that feeling of playfulness and experimentation, and I think including a date not only gives the brand some credibility but also suggests the kind of weighty history which many great works of art also carry.
Unique, small-batch vegan perfume made in Cincinnati
This subheader would accompany the second header. Again, it’s a bit more utilitarian, but it also helps establish Possets as an ethical and more interesting alternative to high-street brands. I went back and forth about including the location--grounding Possets in any specific physical location detracts somewhat from the romantic, timeless sense of it all but on the other hand, establishes credibility and gives the sense that Possets is a person-to-person operation and not a nameless, faceless corporation (ha, that rhymed).
Featured Section: This is more of a question than a suggestion, but how do you determine which products go in the Featured Section? I think using it as a “Recents” section might pique interest a little more (the title could be something along the lines of, “Recent Blends”, “Recent Releases” or, if you wanted to get slightly more playful, “Recent Works.” “Latest” could also be subbed out for “Recent”, but I think carries a more of a big-industry feel to it.
Quote: I think some sort of quote about art/purpose/exploration would not only break up the landing page (in a nice way) but also provide the opportunity to communicate more of Possets’ mission without bashing site visitors over the head with the actual mission statement right when they enter the website (I very much agree with putting the mission on it’s own page, as you have already done!). I’d stick this under the Featured section, before the Categories bit. Ideally, this could be a quote from Fabienne, but I couldn’t find anything suitable on the “Possets’ Founder” page (but maybe you’ve got something somewhere!). Alternatively, there is a really beautiful quote from Walt Whitman’s “The Little Gidding” which I’ll insert below, but it’s a bit long for a landing page. If you have any other ideas, let me know!
“We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.”
Meet the Artist: You are my last big idea for the landing page! I think visitors would love to connect a face to the fragrance, as it were, and it would continue to build a sense of personal connection and brand authority. Also, a Meet the Artist section would echo an author bio or gallery card, furthering the perfume as art parallel.
