KajABI Boxing Coaching Website & Membership Funnel

Project Overview

This project focused on creating a bold, conversion-focused Kajabi website for a boxing coaching and online training brand.
The goal was to combine the energy of a professional boxing club with the structure of an online coaching platform, giving visitors a clear path from discovering the brand to exploring training programs, joining the community, and becoming members.
The website was designed around boxing programs, coaching, community, facilities, testimonials, and membership conversion, creating a strong foundation for Kajabi courses and automated member journeys.

What the Client Wanted

The client wanted a website that would position the boxing brand as more than a traditional boxing club.
They wanted to:
Build a strong and recognizable boxing brand
Showcase professional boxing coaching
Promote online training programs
Attract new members
Highlight the club's facilities
Introduce coaches and training expertise
Showcase member experiences
Create a strong community feeling
Sell online boxing courses
Provide members with structured training content
Capture leads from potential members
Use Kajabi to manage courses, memberships, and automation
Create a clear path from visitor to paying member
The overall goal was to create a digital experience that communicates:
Train harder. Get better. Become part of the community.

The Challenge

The biggest challenge was balancing the intensity and personality of boxing with the need for a clear online learning and membership experience.
A traditional boxing website might focus primarily on:
Gym → Classes → Contact
But an online coaching platform needs to go further:
Discover → Learn → Trust → Choose a Program → Join → Train → Stay Engaged
The brand also needed to appeal to different types of users.
Someone visiting the site might be:
A complete beginner
An experienced boxer
Someone looking to improve fitness
Someone interested in boxing technique
Someone looking for personal coaching
Someone interested in online training
An existing member looking for additional resources
The website therefore needed to make the different pathways easy to understand without overwhelming the visitor.

The Solution

I structured the website around a boxing-first customer journey, using strong visuals, direct messaging, and strategically placed CTAs.
The experience guides visitors through:
Discover the Brand → Understand the Training → Explore Programs → Build Trust → Join → Access Training
The design combines a powerful boxing aesthetic with a structured Kajabi course and membership strategy.

Homepage Strategy

The hero section immediately establishes the brand:

Uppercut, More Than a Boxing Club

This positioning communicates that the brand isn't simply selling gym access. It is selling a broader training experience and community.
The primary CTA:
JOIN MEMBER
provides a direct path for high-intent visitors.
Supporting sections then introduce:
Boxing expertise
Training programs
Coaching
Facilities
Community
Member results
Testimonials
This gives visitors enough information to understand the value before committing.

Boxing Program Structure

The website can organize training into clear programs based on the member's goals.

Boxing Fundamentals

For beginners learning:
Stance
Footwork
Guard
Punching fundamentals
Basic combinations
Defensive movement

Boxing Conditioning

Focused on:
Cardio
Endurance
Speed
Agility
Conditioning
Workout routines

Technical Boxing

For members looking to improve:
Punch combinations
Defensive techniques
Movement
Timing
Technique
Ring strategy

Advanced Boxing

Designed for experienced athletes who want more structured and challenging training.
This program structure makes it easier for users to identify where they belong.

Kajabi Online Course Experience

The website was designed to connect naturally with a Kajabi-powered training environment.
A member could move from the public website into structured online courses containing:
Training modules
Video lessons
Boxing tutorials
Technique demonstrations
Conditioning workouts
Training plans
Downloadable resources
Progress guidance
For example:
Module 01 — Boxing Fundamentals
Lesson 01 — Stance & Guard
Lesson 02 — Footwork
Lesson 03 — Jab Technique
Lesson 04 — Cross & Combinations
Workout — 20-Minute Boxing Session
This gives members a clear learning path rather than simply giving them a library of disconnected videos.

Video-Based Training

Because boxing is highly technique-driven, video plays an important role in the online course experience.
The website incorporates video-focused content to demonstrate the coaching approach and encourage visitors to explore further.
Inside the Kajabi course, videos can cover:
Punch technique
Footwork
Defensive movements
Combinations
Bag workouts
Conditioning
Warm-ups
Follow-along sessions
This creates a natural connection between the marketing website and the actual training product.

Coaching & Expertise

The coaching section was designed to establish credibility and create a personal connection.
Each coach can have a dedicated profile containing:
Photo
Name
Boxing specialty
Experience
Coaching approach
Achievements
Social links
This helps potential members understand who will be guiding their training.

Community Positioning

The phrase "More Than a Boxing Club" was used as an important positioning idea.
The website doesn't focus solely on workouts.
It also communicates:
Coaching + Community + Accountability + Progress
This is particularly important for a membership business because people aren't only paying for information. They are also looking for support, consistency, motivation, and belonging.

Social Proof

Testimonials and member reviews were incorporated to demonstrate real-world experiences.
The testimonial section gives prospective members an opportunity to see how others perceive the training environment.
Combined with:
Member statistics
Coaching expertise
Training programs
Facilities
Community messaging
the website creates multiple trust signals before the visitor reaches the enrollment stage.

Membership Funnel

The Kajabi funnel was structured around several stages.

01 — Awareness

Visitors arrive through:
Social media
Search
Referrals
Fitness content
Boxing videos

02 — Website

They discover the boxing brand and training philosophy.

03 — Program Discovery

They explore classes, courses, and training options.

04 — Lead Capture

Visitors can receive a free boxing resource or training session in exchange for their email.

05 — Email Nurture

Kajabi automation introduces:
Training tips
Boxing education
Coach introductions
Member stories
Program benefits

06 — Enrollment

The visitor is encouraged to join a course or membership.

07 — Member Onboarding

New members receive automated onboarding and access instructions.

08 — Training

Members access structured Kajabi courses and training content.

Lead Magnet Strategy

A free resource can be used to turn visitors into leads before asking them to purchase.
For example:

7-Day Boxing Fundamentals Challenge

A visitor enters their email address to receive access.
The challenge could include:
Day 1: Boxing Stance Day 2: Footwork Day 3: Jab Technique Day 4: Basic Combinations Day 5: Defense Day 6: Conditioning Day 7: Full Boxing Workout
At the end of the challenge, Kajabi can introduce the visitor to the paid training program.

Email Automation

The Kajabi system can automate different stages of the member journey.

New Lead

Welcome → Free Challenge → Boxing Tips → Coaching Introduction → Program Offer

New Member

Welcome → Course Orientation → First Training → Progress Guidance → Community Introduction

Inactive Member

Reminder → Motivation → New Workout → Coach Message → Re-engagement

Completed Course

Congratulations → Next Training Level → Advanced Program → Membership Continuation
This allows the business to continue engaging members beyond the initial purchase.

Conversion Strategy

Rather than placing one CTA at the end of the website, conversion opportunities are distributed throughout the experience.
Examples include:
DISCOVER MORE
JOIN MEMBER
GET STARTED
JOIN CLASS
This allows visitors to take the next step based on their level of intent.
Someone who is still researching can discover more.
Someone who already understands the offer can join immediately.

Visual Design Direction

The visual direction was intentionally built around the energy of boxing.
The design combines:
Dark backgrounds
Red accent colors
High-contrast typography
Powerful athlete photography
Large headlines
Strong CTA buttons
Boxing imagery
Video content
Structured content cards
The visual hierarchy makes the experience feel energetic and competitive while maintaining enough structure for a professional online learning platform.

Responsive Design

The website was designed with a responsive experience in mind so visitors can explore programs from:
Desktop → Tablet → Mobile
This becomes particularly important once members begin accessing their training content from mobile devices at home, outdoors, or in the gym.
