I successfully lead the migration and renewal of Quipper Campus website from React.js + Hypernova, to React.js + Next.js. We, the engineering team also collaborated with the design team to implement the newly fresh UI design.
This collaboration resulting in significant improvements from various aspects including:
Better DX and engineers productivity (based on feedbacks from other engineers)
Better customer satisfaction score as monitored by Hotjar, from around 4.1/5 to 4.5+/5
Significant improvement in page load speed (around 200%-300% faster, as measured by Google Lighthouse and Google Analytics)
Improved efficiency in terms of resources consumption. Even during peak season, the new Quipper Campus website never consumed more than half of usual memory and CPU consumption of the old version.
