GarnKunst reimagines the world of knitting and crochet by merging the traditionally calming and meditative craft with a futuristic, tech-driven aesthetic. This is knitting for the digital age: bold, vibrant, and unapologetically modern. Our goal is to break the stereotype of crafting as an old-fashioned or serene activity, instead presenting it as something energetic, innovative, and youth-oriented.

The project draws heavy inspiration from computer systems, pixelated visuals, glitch art, and the internet’s ever-evolving culture. The result is a dynamic brand identity that feels alive, tech-savvy, and perfectly tailored to a new generation of makers
Our mascot is a striking internet persona: a virtual girl with electric-blue skin and two buns (styled to resemble a yarn ball on each side of her head). She is an entirely digital character, representing the “unreal” nature of online personas.

The Process (or “How Many Cups of Coffee Was That Again?”)

Sketches: We had everything from “Hmm, interesting” to “What were we thinking?” But out of that chaos emerged something unique. Final Selection: The winning concept? The one that made us all nod in agreement and whisper, “This is it.”
The logo incorporates yarn and needles with hints of punk energy and artistic flair, plus a sprinkle of Asian-inspired design to resonate with the client’s love for Japanese culture

Our GarnKunst website is powered by Shopify—because why reinvent the wheel when you can stitch on it? Bright neon colors light up every page like a hacker’s den gone rogue, while thematic photos and videos bring our tech-crafting world to life

Client Feedback and Adjustments (or “No, We Didn’t Tear Up”) Client’s Reaction: “This is even better than I imagined.” And we might’ve played it cool, but we were glowing inside. Revisions: Minimal tweaks were needed because when you hit the right note, it just works.
