Crisis to Renewal Role: Video Editor Date: August 2024
I edited the documentary film Crisis to Renewal, crafted in partnership with FICCI Aditya Birla CSR Centre for Excellence and PRADAN amidst the COVID-19 pandemic’s devastating impact on underserved rural communities in India. The film chronicles the joint initiative 'REFRESH', which was launched during a critical period marked by the return of migrating populations and escalating rural challenges.
The project successfully benefited over 500,000 families by generating around 10,475 jobs, mobilizing Rs. 8,820 lakhs from government programs, and improving agricultural practices across 9,600 acres, with a specific positive impact on 25,800 women. Currently, 44% of the families involved earn between Rs. 1 lakh and 3 lakhs annually.
As the video editor, I:
Shaped the storytelling to authentically represent the resilience and renewal of rural communities facing unprecedented hardships.
Integrated impactful visuals, testimonials, and data-driven highlights to emphasize the project's scale and success.
Balanced emotional narratives with informative content to engage diverse audiences including stakeholders and the public.
Collaborated closely with the film’s creative team and partners to ensure alignment with the initiative’s messaging and objectives.
This project deepened my experience in editing socially relevant films that document community-driven development and recovery in times of crisis.
