Writing was always one of my passions since I was a child because it was a way of expressing myself for whoever, even myself, as I was always an introvert and dealing with feelings was never my thing. I was in a class called Portuguese Literature in high school, but my true love was in English Literature.
I'm writing two books right now, one is on hold, the other one is coming along as time goes. The name of the more evolved book is "Even in a Garden of Sunflowers, There's Always a Little Bit of Rain". This is a story with many characters, and the purpose of the book is to talk about pain and hurt, the many ways that we can feel it and go through it, and also the ways that we can , or can't, come out of it.
Here's a paragraph of the book:
- "This story, for some people will be a cliché, others will think that
it’s a beautiful and tragic story, and it will happen, some will hate this.
Well, I leave that to you and hope you will read it until the end and then form
an opinion, if you don’t want to, I don’t fucking care, do whatever you want.
Now, as you see as the title of this chapter, this story is not about just
one person, is about a group of them, how they are with each other, other individuals
and, most importantly, to themselves. It will be a hell of a ride, that I will
tell you. It’s a story about sadness, hurt, overcome, undercome, betrayal, etc.
Now, this group of people will be the most dysfunctional group you will
ever meet, or read, about. They have different ways to deal with each other, they
have, or want to have, different types of relationships with each other, some
people will come, maybe they will go, but they are a group that has each
other’s back no matter what.
There’s one rule in this group, and that is that they are all there for
each other, until you don’t want them to be anymore. They will never force
anything on anyone, trust is a difficult thing in this group of individuals,
you must really earn it to have it.
It will have very sensitive topics, just saying before you read it, my
intention by telling all these stories is not to trigger someone or anything
like that, it’s for people to understand other people, for people to identify and
know they’re not alone. I can’t say if it will have a happy ending, but I like
to believe that in every ending is a new beginning, that everyone has a path,
but how they walk that path is differently and that is magical and beautiful.
The names of the people in this story are Nur, Raellyn, Atticus, Emersyn, Everleigh, Anayaih, Alayna, Finley, Delaney, Emmerson, Theodore, Evangeline, Nile, Kylan, Camdin, Brantley, Gael, Rayden, and Jefferson.
And me, Algea.
You’re in for a ride dude, an
overwhelming ride. "
