In 2020, Pod Point faced challenges due to the lack of a design system and outdated brand guidelines, which affected the delivery of a cohesive user experience. The absence of a unified design language led to inconsistencies across their suite of products, making it difficult for users to navigate and engage effectively.

To address these issues, a comprehensive design system was created from scratch. The goal was to establish a solid foundation that would serve as a guiding framework for all product development efforts. Implementing this design system aimed to bring clarity, consistency, and coherence to the product ecosystem, ultimately enhancing the overall user experience.

The design system initiative involved three key components: a foundational system (including colors, spacing, typography, etc.), a system for web applications, and another specifically tailored for mobile platforms. Recognizing the unique design considerations and user interactions associated with each platform, the design systems were optimized to suit the respective environments while maintaining overarching brand coherence.

The entire design system was meticulously documented in Confluence, serving as a central resource for the team and ensuring seamless implementation across all projects.
