Nami — Rhythmic Breathing App

The Idea

The idea came from a strange little spark: a rhythmic button sequence in a video game once left me feeling unexpectedly calm, present, focused, almost meditative. That stuck with me, so I started digging into why.
It turns out that slow rhythmic patterns and alternating bilateral movement are genuinely tied to nervous system regulation (the same principle behind resonance breathing and EMDR-style bilateral stimulation).

What I Built

Nami is built around that idea. Nine emotional states, nine tempos. You follow the rhythm, and as you settle into it, the visual guides gradually fade away. By the end, it's just you and the breathing circle. You're already there.
Created as a submission for the Config Makeathon using Figma, Figma Make, and Figma Weave.

What's Next

This is currently a Figma Make project, but I'm working toward releasing a real, standalone version of Nami.
