Interior design and restructuration of an apartment

A client purchased a new apartment and wished to restructure it in a way to expand the living area. During this project, it was decided to move the old bathroom, gaining the area to a spacious kitchen.
Floor plan changes
The kitchen's linear layout is designed following ergonomic standards, facilitating all processes from grocery storage to washing and cooking.

Family-gathering expandable dining table completes the kitchen. The latter is separated from the living zone with a translucent divider: a custom-made bookcase with glass sidewalls.

The existence of an antique flue inside the apartment's wall inspired us into designing a cozy fireplace. Due to safety issues, it was decided to go with a bio-fireplace solution, using bioethanol fuel.
