Solving a critical production-only bug

During my tenure at Telna, a critical backend bug emerged, hinting at a cache inconsistency in the Voyage persistency framework. Despite external hires not resolving it, my curiosity led me to explore migrating to Mapless, a robust framework I had developed in 2014.
The weekend experiment turned into a successful Proof of Concept, impressing the architect.
The subsequent migration not only resolved the issue but also showcased the power of proactive problem-solving through strategic design. Both the operations and engineering teams celebrated the success.
As a result the company was able to scale traffic in this backend from 9Kops to 27Kops.
