Meet AquaChum – your new friendly companion designed with you in mind.
After extensive research and thoughtful design, my mission was clear – to make tracking your daily water intake easier, more motivating, and faster than ever before.
With AquaChum, achieving your hydration goals has never been simpler or more enjoyable.

I started with research.

Who uses water reminder apps? Why? What do they like about them? What do they dislike? What features would you like to see improved?

From this, what did I find?

“Most water intake apps are generic or time-consuming. I just want fast friendly reminders to motivate me.” – Jenny, the persona.

The Persona

Who is Jenny?
Jenny is a 28 years old data analyst who loves to have a fit and healthy life. Jenny has a great job, but very intense and time-consuming. She needs a positive app that helps her to remember to hydrate and motivates her throughout the day!

The Core Questions To Answer

What can I do to make the process as fast and simple as possible?
What are some effective ways to support people like Jenny in maintaining good hydration and enhancing their mood, particularly during difficult times, so that they can remain optimistic and resilient?

And that’s how a brand new user flow came into existence.

The design

Other Considerations

All the process was backed by competitor apps analysis and an understanding of the target pain points.
My goal was to develop a smart technology-based app, so you can always have your Chum with you to brighter your day.
I opted for pastel colors to promote relaxation and used a playful font to instantly uplift your mood.
The word “Chum” conveys a lighthearted, friendly, and supportive tone, emphasizing the app’s goal of being a helpful companion in promoting and tracking water intake.
