CSV Cleanup with a Traceable Change Log

This self-initiated prototype shows how a small customer CSV can be cleaned without silently guessing missing information. All sample records are fictional. The browser tool trims whitespace, preserves names and IDs as text in its data model, applies an explicit slash-date convention, and removes exact normalized duplicates. Conflicting IDs and invalid dates remain visible in a review queue.

The sample starts with eight rows, retains seven, and produces three review items. Users can edit the source and download the cleaned CSV, change log, and review queue. Formula-like strings are escaped on CSV export. Spreadsheet import settings still matter for identifiers with leading zeros.

The prototype supports four defined columns and up to 1,000 rows. It uses local browser processing. JavaScript checks cover CSV quoting, date validity, duplicate conflicts, and export behavior. Built with AI-assisted development; this is a demonstration, not a client engagement.
