Chrome Femme

A fully interactive digital magazine from 1988. Editorial design meets speculative fiction meets cyberpunk world-building.
What if women in the 1980s had access to cybernetic enhancements — and what if there was a fashion magazine that covered it like Vogue covers couture?
Chrome Femme is an interactive magazine experience built in Figma Make. It places the user inside a fully realized alternate-history publication — complete with feature editorials, fashion spreads, fake product advertisements for cybernetic prosthetics, an advice column for augmented women, horoscopes calibrated to your implants, and classified ads for used chrome hands.
Every page is designed to feel like an authentic 80s print magazine — bright editorial layouts, Didot typography, luxury ad aesthetics — while the content lives in a cyberpunk world where titanium spines and optical implants are as normal as shoulder pads and perms.
The interaction design is the magazine itself. Page-flip navigation, layered typography, and editorial pacing create a reading experience that feels tactile and nostalgic in a digital space.
