Trovr is a recycling rewards ecosystem designed to encourage more sustainable everyday behavior.
The product includes synchronized mobile apps for consumers and merchants. Users can recycle glass, plastic, and aluminum containers through participating recycling machines, earn reward points, and redeem those points for vouchers from brands and retailers.
The challenge
Recycling participation often depends on convenience and immediate motivation. The product needed to make the flow simple: identify a recycling opportunity, complete the action, receive rewards, and redeem them without creating friction for consumers or merchants.
It also needed to support a distributed network of machines across public locations such as supermarkets, transport hubs, service areas, and retail outlets.
The solution
We contributed to the Trovr and Trovr Merchant mobile applications, creating synchronized consumer and merchant experiences around recycling rewards.
The apps support QR and barcode generation/scanning, account management, location-based experiences, push notifications, deep links, customer support, and integrations with third-party systems. The consumer app lets users earn and redeem rewards, while the merchant app enables voucher redemption in-store.
