Understanding
the user

● Personas
● Problem statements
● User journey maps
User research: summary
I conducted survey and created empathy map user I am designing for their needs. A primary user
group identified through research was working adults who don’t have time to cook the food.
This survey confirm initial assumption about Online Food order customers, but survey also
revealed that time was not the only factor limiting user from cooking at home. Other problem
included obligations, interests, or challenges that make it

person who requires easy and
quick order options because
she does not have enough
time to cook herself.

Starting
the design
Paper wireframes
Taking time to draft iterations of one
screen of the app on paper make
ensured elements that made it to digital
wireframes would be well-suited to
address user pain points. For the home
screen, I prioritized a quick and easy
ordering process to help users save the
time
Digital wireframes
As the intial design phase
continue, I made sure to
base screen designs on the
feedback and finding then
fronm the user research
This option at the home screen makes it fast and easy user to order. This option
allows users to place an order from a restaurant that will deliver within 30 minutes or less.
Digital wireframes
The user can easily find
item details and other
options available on the
restaurant's website.
The user can find information about pickup, drop-off, calories and discounts for the selected item here.
Other food suggestions, review, additions, and customizations
When a food discount is applied
Digital wireframes
Easy navigation was a key
user need to address in the
design additio to equipping
the app work with assitive
technologies.
User can add payment method like credit card and UPI
User can track past order, repeat order and save faviorute restaurent
Low-fidelity prototype
The low-fidelity prototype
connected the primary user flow
of building and ordering a food,
so prototype could used in a
usability study with users.

Usability study: findings
Write a short introduction to the usability studies you conducted and your findings.
Round 1 findings
Users want customize option after
select a food
1
“So there's no way for me to Add
feedback here.”
2
Round 2 findings
User want track food in convenient
manner.
3
User unable to select the food1
Customize the food is not easy2
User wants past orders option3

Refining
the design
Mockups
Early designs allowed some
customize, but after
usability studies, I added
additional options to
choose customize the
food. I also revised the
design so users see all the
customization when select
the food on the screen
Before usability studies After usability studies
Mockups
According to the second
usability study, users want
to know what is going on
with their order and what
the status of their food is.
As a result, I've added the
food's status to the Track
Order screen.

Mockups
High-fidelity
prototype
The final high-fidelity prototype
featured smoother user flows for
swiftly selecting meals, ordering
delivery on time, and adding more
customization.

Accessibility considerations
Access was provided to
visually impaired people
by adding alt words to
images for screen
readers.
Icon was used to help in
navigation.
The use of high-quality
photos for the food and
simple navigation assist
all users in better
understanding the
designs.

● Takeaways
● Next steps Going forward
Takeaways
Impact:
The application gives users the impression that
online food delivery is seriously considering
how it can meet their needs.
What I learned:
While building the app, I discovered that the
initial concept is only the beginning of the
process. Each iteration of the app design was
impacted by user research, usability testing,
and peer feedback.
Next steps
Conduct another round of
usabilty studies to
validate whether the pain
points users experienced
have been effectively
addressed.
Conduct more user
research to determine
any new areas of need.
