Lava: Ongoing Framer Web Team for a Fintech Platform

A site that never cools.
Lava is a $30M-funded Bitcoin lending and payments platform. Since 2025 we've been its embedded Framer team, designing the website and its product landing pages.

The insight

Bitcoiners don't sell. They borrow.

Lava lets Bitcoin holders access dollars without selling their BTC. Its Bitcoin Line of Credit (BLOC) sits alongside a Visa card, USD savings at 6.5% APY and zero-fee BTC purchases, all on self-custodial infrastructure and backed by $30M from Founders Fund and Khosla Ventures. Its customers, from long-term holders to everyday spenders, are trusting Lava with the asset they care about most.

The challenge

Crypto roots, mainstream ambitions

To earn that trust, this fintech had to read as a credible financial institution, not another crypto startup. Each product spoke to a slightly different holder and needed its own conversion path, while the website as a whole carried the brand. And the products kept moving: launches, campaigns and paid acquisition funnels arrived faster than any one-off website project could follow.

The solution

A team that ships with the product

It started in July 2025 as a request for a few hours of help, and became an ongoing retainer. We handle website design, Framer development and iteration across Lava's full product suite, working alongside its product and ads teams. Clean layouts, section color blocking and a green accent system take their cue from the calmest names in fintech, and give Bitcoin holders weighing a loan something solid to trust.
Each product got a landing page built around one conversion goal. The Lava Card page pairs a card hero with a comparison table setting BLOC's 5% fixed rate against 9.5 to 15% from competitors. The Savings page has an interactive APY chart and a three-step onboarding flow. Paid acquisition pages live under a /learning/ URL structure that supports the ads team's tracking, and major changes are tested in a staging environment before they go live.

The shift

From crypto-native to broadly approachable

We led the homepage redesign from dark mode to a light color scheme, moving backgrounds, video screens and CTA colors to the updated brand direction. The site now reaches beyond the crypto-native crowd while keeping the technical credibility Bitcoin holders expect.
The retainer keeps the fintech website in step with the business: CTA color and placement tests, hero updates, responsive fixes and new pages as products launch, on a Framer CMS and SEO setup that lets new pages ship fast and get found.
